Legal & Intellectual Property Services in RES
To ensure that the interests of the University and it's staff are protected in technology transfer and the conduct of research, RES will give advice on legal matters related to Technology Transfer and Research. This includes ensuring compliance with University policies and legal/financial regulations, as well as the preparation and negotiation of contracts and agreements. The legal team also deals with all aspects of Intellectual Property (IP); this includes IP protection (patents, designs, trademarks, copyright and confidentiality) and the commercialisation of IP.
All members of the team can answer your questions on legal and intellectual property matters, but your principal point of contact will depend on the nature of your request. To ensure a swift response please contact the relevant team member. The job may be reallocated amongst the team depending on current workload, holidays, etc.
