Research Professional Broadcast Training
Research Professional invites staff from HWU to participate in the following -
Research Professional Broadcast Training will take place from 10:00 till 11:00 (GMT) Tuesday 24th January and will:
- introduce you to the Research Professional platform
- demonstrate how to locate funding opportunities which match your interests
- show you how to set up email alerts to keep you informed of new developments
You can view these demonstrations from your own computer, and can choose to receive sound either via your computer's mic and speakers, or by phoning in to a voice conference. You will be able to ask questions of the presenter using a text chat feature.

Funding Assistance for Scottish Companies

Following a successful pilot scheme, the Scottish Further and Higher Education Funding Council (SFC) has increased funding for its highly successful innovation voucher scheme to help universities and colleges collaborate with the Scottish Small and Medium sized businesses.
The awards are specifically to encourage partnerships and Heriot-Watt University is to receive £15,000 to help fund and support new collaborative projects between Scottish SMEs (Small to Medium sized Enterprises) and university academic staff. The funding will support a broad range of activities such as the development of new products and processes, new services, improving production processes to experimental testing and measurement.
The Heriot-Watt fund is being administered by Research & Enterprise Servicesand up to £5000 per project is available with the company partner expected to match the grant contribution through a direct financial or in-kind contribution.
